Kyle Murray is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) originally from the Baton Rouge area. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance, with a concentration in Counseling Psychology, from Louisiana Tech University.
Kyle specializes in working with teens and adults who deal with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and life transitions. He has a particular passion for helping teens and young adults help better understand themselves and dealing with the challenges that come with that.
Kyle utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach that focuses on providing a humanistic environment that fosters collaboration and self-growth. He also implements Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address patterns of thought and actions. Kyle uses other evidence-based techniques, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for things like mindfulness and grounding techniques if needed.
Kyle aims to work with you where you are regardless of counseling experience. He wants counseling to be a space where you are able to be heard in a non-judgemental manner and respected. By working together, he believes that you will be able to develop coping skills, gain confidence, and navigate life as it comes.
In his free time, Kyle likes to play video games, follow basketball and football, listen to music, and hang out with his friends.
