Hey there! I'm Alexandra. I'm a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC). I’m a two-time graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Studies, followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling.
While most of my experience comes from working with adults and adolescents, I enjoy working with individuals of all ages. I am especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced any form of trauma in their lives. It is my belief that trauma can affect the way we think, and the way we experience life. Sometimes just sharing the thoughts we're having can calm the storm we have brewing within.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy songwriting, making music, doing puzzles, playing chess, and drawing. I believe that creative expression has a unique way of healing and helping people process experiences - especially through music.
My hope is that, through our time together, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen your ability to regulate your emotions, and feel more confident in your ability to face life’s challenges.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. I am very much looking forward to working with you!
