Sylvia Mills is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a B.A. in Sociology from Grambling State University and a M.A. in Psychology with a Specialization in Mental Health Administration from University of the Rockies. She also has a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Capella University.
Sylvia has clinical experience in an adolescent psychiatric residential treatment facility setting and private practice. She works with clients who have anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, emotional regulation issues, and behavioral concerns.
She is trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and uses approaches from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, and other models and interventions that can assist families with rewriting their life stories.
