With almost 20 years in the field of counseling, as well as being a retired educator, I bring both counseling techniques and life skills to the counseling room. I address concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, marital issues, relationship struggles, and rebuilding life after divorce. I specialize in individual counseling with women, but also address the family unit as a whole.
My belief is that the counseling process is one in which the client and counselor work together is a safe, trusting environment in order to define concerns, establish goals, and work ins a systematic approach toward achieving those goals. We all walk through difficult times in the course of our life; I feel it is an honor for someone to choose me to walk that path with them.
My undergraduate degree was in Speech Therapy, with certification in Deaf Education from ULM. I completed my masters degree from Liberty University in Professional Counseling.
I am married, mother of three married children, and a grandmother of 5. I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my family and friends, and traveling!
