Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a clinically proven, modern treatment for continued anxiety and stress that results from trauma.  Once the client and therapist have worked a few weeks to form a trusting relationship, the therapist instructs the client to revisit images that may be responsible for stress or may stem from traumatic experiences.  The therapist then guides the client in certain ways that allow the fragmented, painful memories to be more controlled and better understood by the client.  CCPR has counselors who are certified in the use of EMDR in a relaxed, trusting environment. For more information on EMDR, click here.
